Applications of Hi-Selon
An Environment-Friendly Packaging Material
Hi-Selon is made from PVOH, a biodegradable material, and is free of halogen elements such as chlorine. Its chemical composition means that, when disposed of, Hi-Selon has less impact on the environment than ordinary plastic films. This innovative plastic film can also enhance safety by improving the work environments in agriculture, medical services, and many other fields.
Superior Water Solvency
Under water, Hi-Selon decomposes, disperses, and dissolves until completely liquefied, making it possible for package contents to efficiently diffuse. Its outstanding water solvency eliminates the need for special disposal.
(sanitary napkins, diapers, colostomy bags)
Versatility
Hi-Selon has a number of outstanding properties that meet needs in a wide range of industries. This highly functional material has already seen use in a number of applications, and Nippon Gohsei are working jointly with customers to develop new, ground-breaking applications in a host of fields.
Water Soluble Bags
Hi-Selon's outstanding performance makes it ideal as a packaging material to assure the safe handling of chemicals and others, or in applications where it's important to prevent odour leakage.
(agrochemical, detergents, pigments/dyestuffs)
Printable Plastic Films
Hi-Selon can be printed clearly using an ordinary printing machine, providing greater freedom in description and design. This represents a breakthrough in the technical bottleneck of printing on curved surfaces, which is now possible with hydraulic transfer technology.
